Charlton sell more than £270k - in 2 days!

Charlton Athletic's web site has seen a busy week. The end of the season ticket renewal deadline coincided with the announcement of their new manager, Iain Dowie. At the press conference a process server attempted to serve Mr Dowie with a writ from his former club Crystal Palace!

Needless to say our web servers were very busy on Wednesday with fans queuing up to check out the new manager and purchase their season tickets by the end of the deadline. The site had over 45,000 visitors on the 31st of May 2006 and took £130k worth of season ticket sales alone. On Tuesday and Wednesday alone the site took over £270k of online season ticket sales. Current sales on Charlton for season tickets are fast approaching one million pounds since the launch at the end of April, not a bad month for sales.
