Search Engine Optimisation

There are many different ways to tackle the problem of getting to a decent ranking on the search engines.

Site Construction
The web site needs to be designed with content that the search engine can read. Great graphics can look fantastic, but if your message is a graphic image with no additional text, the search engine won't know what your site is about. The pages need to be properly "tagged" with concise description which mention what the page content is about, preferably using phrases that search engine visitors are likely to use to find your site.

Clicks
When a brand new site is launched it can take months for Google and other search engines to recognize it in their listings. Pay for Clicks services are one way of getting to the front page whilst this is happening. This service is better for some product types than others.

Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization is a long term commitment to get your site on the front page of Google for your chosen terms. We will have the search terms assessed to see how frequently they are used in web search engines like Overture that publish the number of queries. The copy on your site may need to be re-written to reflect these terms within the pages themselves. One of the most important ways Google measures a site's significance is by the number of other web sites linking to it. If large web sites are showing links to your web sites, then this will also increase your overall "score" or Page Rank as Google refers to it. Search Engine Optimization companies usually also add your site to as many listing as they can in order to increase your page rank in this way.

Google Site Maps
A new technology launched by Google allows us to tell Google exactly how many pages there are in a site, how often they are updated and how to find them. This helps them, as they dont have to waste time scanning pages that haven't been updated for a long time, it also helps us see how recently Google has spidered the site. More on Site Maps.
